Summary/Abstract: The article describes moral and humanistic qualities as key characteristics of a social teacher. The author examines the relationship of emotional and rational in retrospect, the teachings of Aristotle, also, the view of modern researchers (A. L. Fatykhova, I. Koleva) on emotional component as professionally significant qualities of a modern teacher.
