Whitehead's Philosophy in the Context of the Transition from Modernism to Postmodernism

Summary/Abstract: The paper is devoted to the achievements of Whitehead in the fields of ontology and epistemology in the context of transition from modernism to postmodernism. Four main aspects of Whiteheadian views are considered: first, it is the transition from substances and their attributes to events in relation; second, the transition from subjects and objects to subject-objects; third, from the primacy of sensation to physical feelings, and finally, from conceptual relativism to correspondence. All they form ontological and epistemological base of contemporary process philosophy.
