Summary/Abstract: The article aims to present partial results of quality of life assessment in terms of satisfaction with free time girls in re-education facilities in Slovakia and Poland. The sample comprised 97 girls and the data were collected using the Life Satisfaction Questionnaire designed by Fahrenberg, Myrtek, Schumacher, and Brähler (2001). Based on the data analysis and comparison we determined that, in general, there is no significant difference in experiencing personal satisfaction and self-development among girls in re-education facilities in Slovakia and Poland. Girls have expressed their indecisiveness in the domain of finances and leisure time.
