The Role of Personal Values in Shaping of the Sung Voice

Summary/Abstract: The author of the following study considers the issue of values and valuation on the basis of the selected theories related to artistic education. In her theoretical and investigative disquisitions she focuses on showing the role of personal values in the psychological, emotional and characterological context. Moreover, the author also discusses the categorical nature of personal values, their most important features and importance for musical development. The final part of the text is a presentation of the author’s own research findings on children’s voices and the study on preferred personal values of students majoring at music education.
