Summary/Abstract: Purpose – Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), defined as employees’ extra behaviors on a voluntary basis, has been an important research are a in the literature. In the current empirical studies, the dimensions of behaviors beyond the formal job definitions and the factors leading to this behavior have been examined and the effects of these behaviors on the efficiency of the organizations have been studied. This study has been conducted to examine the effect of OCB of health care professionals on work performance. Design/methodology/approach – The population of the study is consisted of physicians, nurses, midwives, medical assistants and medical technicians actively working in Uşak University Training and Research Hospital and Uşak Oral and Dental Health Center between the dates March 1, 2018- April 30, 2018. A total of 117 health care professionals constitute the sample of the study. The data have been obtained through face to face questionnaires on a voluntary basis.
