Summary/Abstract: The article outlines the contemporary context of cultural diversity and the role of art techniques as promoter of empathy, tolerance, intercultural dialogue, emotional intelligence and social inclusion.The article outlines one of the ways to support soft skills development in the context of diversity and the role of phototherapy as promoting empathy, tolerance, emotional intelligence and social inclusion. Art techniques and creative activities have the potential to involve students of different background and allow them environment, stimulating mutual respect and cohesion. Some examples are given for online and off-line moderated interactions and involvement of students in events, generated by themselves. Phototherapy can be used as cross-point for educative and entertaining interaction both in real and virtual environment.
