Summary/Abstract: Purpose – Socialization which is the process of learning employees' organization culture and their own roles is important in terms of establishing good relations among employees, ensuring harmony between the employee and the work, job satisfaction, productivity and motivation. The aim of this study is to determine whether there is a meaningful relationship between organizational socialization and job motivation in accordance with the perceptions of the employees in public organizations and the effect on job motivation of organizational socialization. Desing/methodology/approach – In the collection of research data was used survey method. In this context, it was applied “Organizational Socialization Scale” and “Motivation Scale” to 72 employees working in various public in stitutions serving in İhsaniye district of Afyonkarahisar. The data were analyzed by descriptive analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis.
