Summary/Abstract: In the Romanian literature from Bessarabia of the totalitarian period, the subversive, anti-utopian, visible and less visible elements, such as the parable, the allegory and the irony, constituted a means of the writer's resistance to totalitarianism. The writer from Bessarabia continues to show a particular interest in anti-utopia, as the times are such that the narrative pattern characteristic of anti-utopias continues to bear fruit. In the present study we make an incursion into the Romanian anti-totalitarian prose in Bessarabia, detecting anti-utopian elements and demonstrating the mechanisms of its operation.
