Summary/Abstract: Recent studies on siblings are more and more focused on family context. Research results show the importance of siblings’ relationships that are, besides relationships with parents, the closest inside a family. Brothers and sisters influence one’s development on many different levels. In a case when one of the brothers or sisters has special needs, this relationship is even more specific and could have positive but also negative impacts. Even though it is more and more recognized abroad, the professional work with siblings of people with special needs in our country is just at its beginning. This paper shortly presents one way of supporting siblings of people with special needs
