Summary/Abstract: Both international and Czech studies of the subject lack any empirical reports on the sexual life of hearing impaired people. The sexuality and partnership of hearing impaired people are still taboo. The realization of this need is an important measure of the quality of life of people with disabilities. Sexuality interferes in the most intimate areas of life which include experiencing and the relationship of a person to their environment and it is crucial for shaping the personality of each individual. The research included two main objectives. The first one was to determine the level of knowledge, opinions and attitudes of students with auditory disabilities on sexuality. The second objective was to determine the opinions and attitudes of their parents. The collected data shows that for people with auditory disabilities the image of sexuality is diverse, and the young people‘s level of knowledge is unsatisfactory and in certain respects even extremely low. Unfortunately, the parents‘attitude towards the sexuality of their children is negative, although many parents talk to their children on the topic of sexuality. Yet some parents exhibit helpless-ness, confusion, and sometimes reluctance to discuss these matters.
