Functional fitness of population over 70 years in selected  cities of Opole province and demand for care

Summary/Abstract: Older age and the accompanying restrictions on mobility negatively affect the health of seniors. The deteriorating efficiency is the reason why physical discomfort, weakens the mental condition, and is also a barrier which prevents independent performing basic operations, makes from other, contributes to social isolation and, consequently, leads to a deterioration of the quality of life.  The aim of the study is to determine the level of functional efficiency and the need for care among seniors over 70 years old living in cities.
