Processes of manor land parceling and the abolition of easement in the interwar period– the example of Boczki and Rzepiszew

Summary/Abstract: The article presents the results of research on the process of manor land parcelling and abolition of easement, which took place in the interwar period. A detailed analysis based on archival queries covers two settlement units located in the area of the contemporary Szadek commune: the villages of Boczki and Rzepiszew. The first part of the article presents the legal and administrative aspects related to the implementation of agricultural reforms and the problem of spatial structure of landed estates existing in the analyzed period in Szadek commune. The next part of the study presents the results of research on the origin and course of land parcelling and the abolition of easement on selected examples, taking into account the legal issues of the analyzed processes and their repercussions including changes in settlement structures.
