Summary/Abstract: The present paper addresses just several of the articles that Octavian Goga wrote on fellow writers. He uses that opportunity in order to draw out several literary portraits, evoke moveable meetings, as well as to pass judgements. His stand on the role of the writer in the society is well known, along with his overrating of the ”precurssors” involved in the complex mechanism of social and political life and strife. The personality of each of these people is rendered evident by means of the stories being told and adequately seasoned with most eloquent details bound to linger in the readers’s memory. Goga’s own creative merits as a playwright have themselves got equally analyzed and assessed by fellow writers, as in the case of his his play Domnul Notar (Mr. Notary Public), first performed in spring 1914, on the stage of the National Theater in Bucharest.
