Summary/Abstract: The Transylvanian-Saxon dialect in Transylvania has experienced its own development since the 12th century, far from the motherland, hence its influence by the neighboring languages (Romanian and Hungarian). This is characteristic for the infiltration of loan words in all areas of Transylvanian-Saxon life. In this presentation we are taking a closer look at borrowed words which are abstract nouns. They are borrowed words which express a general behavior (attitude, approach), but also point to human interrelations. In addition there are abstract words which represent an action, a imagination as well as a noun for a state or a character trait. The case samples are taken from the Transylvanian-Saxon Dictionary (SSWB) and its ticket archives as well as from the North Transylvanian-Saxon Dictionary (NSSWB).
