Summary/Abstract: Will new technologies allow our brain to function on the level of the personal identity? Will the consciousness stay unchanged? What will happen when we wake up? The present article will not offer a detailed theoretical review of science fiction and its his development. However, it identifies the main aspects of this type of literature when science fiction reacts to new scientific ideas, and shows how a scientific idea (still in its early stage) develops its potential in the future. The science, presented in the current work is not just an accumulation of incredible hypotheses, but a tool used by the authors to look into the socio-psychological problems of the present and the future.
