MEASUREMENT OF UNIVERSITY STUDENTS' ATTITUDES AGAINST MARRIAGE: CASE OF ADNAN MENDERES UNIVERSITY ATÇA VOCATIONAL SCHOOL

Summary/Abstract: Marriage, which can also be defined as the convergence of people with the desire to establish a family, can be considered as a contract made by two different sexes according to their free will declarations. According to our law, the marriage, which can be done with the filling of the age of 17, is one of the most important agendas of the people in the university age. In this study, a two-part questionnaire is applied to examine the attitudes of university students towards the marriage institution. In the first part, a scale that measures demographic characteristics is used and in the second part, ken Marriage Attitude Scale Bay developed by Bayoğlu and Atlı is used. The scale consists of 21 questions and the questions were prepared according to the 5-point Likert scale. The study population consists of Adnan Menderes University Atça Vocational School students. In this context, students' perspectives on marriage will be examined and results and suggestions will be provided.
