Summary/Abstract: This article discusses the relationship between an African language, specifically an Ivorian language and an Asian language. These two languages have come into contact since the Islamization of manding by the Arabs, between the 8th and 10th centuries AD. Indeed, this contact has increased with the apogee of the empire of Mali, which is the source of the Manding people. This contact had several impacts on the manding, both sociologically and linguistically. This article will attempt to show the impacts that this language contact has created.
