Summary/Abstract: Purpose of Article. The study of the evolutionary processes of origin, historical development, the formation of the theoretical basis and the factors influencing the process of panning when shooting films, taking into account not only the creative but also the technological component. The methodology of the research is based on the application of the general scientific principle of objectivity, structural-functional and analytical methods, is based on the totality of scientific works of domestic and foreign authors. The scientific novelty of the research consists in the formation and classification of the substantive basis of panning, in the disclosure of the basic provisions of the structural components of panning in screen painting and the creative and technological methods for its implementation. Conclusions. Systematized creative and technological methods of panning during film and video shootings that allow the operator to enrich and diversify the visual range of films, change its intraframe content in order to obtain a sense of authenticity and the effect of the viewer's presence in events unfolding on the screen; to approximate the visual interpretation of the film or television program to its identified perception of the viewer's consciousness as real events and life situations.
