A comparative analysis of the spatial planning system in France and in Poland

Summary/Abstract: The objective of the present study was to make a comparative analysis of the spatial planning system in France and in Poland. The paper presents the main characteristics of the above system and the basis for its development, as well as essential planning documents, including their contents and the consequences of their adoption. The stages of the system and planning documents adopted in France are also discussed, with particular emphasis on their similarities to the solutions applied in Poland.
