Use of the gis platform in crisis management

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to present the types of unwanted events which may occur in connection with the loading, unloading and carriage of dangerous substances. There is an analysis of the causes of such events and analysis of the quantity and structure of carried goods. The final chapter focuses on the possibilities of using a geographical information system, with special consideration given to situations connected with risk during the carriage of such substances.
