The data comes from Central Statistical Office – Local Data Bank. In the research rural com-munes and rural areas in urban – rural communes were analyzed. The analysis was based on synthetic indicators – using a non-standard method. Synthetic indicators were assessed based on three simple features such as: enterprises registered into REGON (National Offi-cial Register of Business Entities) per 10,000 inhabitants, difference between newly registe-red and deregistered enterprises per 10,000 inhabitants, enterprises registered into REGON per 100 km2 areas. Then the divided entrepreneurship le-vel groups were analyzed according to ownership sectors, size of enterprises and type of activity. According to the results the ownership and the size structure of entrepreneurships are similar in all analyzed classes.
