Summary/Abstract: Previous work (see Simona Eftimie, 2006, 2014, 2015) and empirical observations havedetermined us to reflect to the following idea: is it true that young people are irresponsible? Or is it onlya prejudice, a false image about young people constructed by social messages (from media and echoed bycommunity)? Young people want to be independent, their parents are afraid that their children are notmature enough to take responsibility for their own lives and limit their liberty. And their way to gainindependence is a shock assuming of responsibility (learning from their own mistakes). This paper isanalysing the forms of (lack of) assuming responsibility on young people, and the social causes for thissituation
