Summary/Abstract: The article contains the results of research into scholarly journals whose websites are located on the three largest Polish university publishing platforms. These include the following: Academic Platform of Journals, Platform of Scholarly Journals and PRESSto - Platform of Open Scholarly Journals. All the websites for the scholarly journals published on these platforms were analyzed in terms of whether they comply with 8 out of 16 good scholarly publishing practices, as recommended by international scholarly bodies (COPE, DOAJ, OASPA and WAME). The conclusions of the study were presented: the surveyed journals scored well in terms of compliance with the examined criteria only in the case of four of them. These results were compared with a summary of factors that influenced the removal of the journals from the DOAJ database in 2014-2019. On this basis, recommendations were made regarding the proper content and functioning of the websites of open scientific journals.
