A Hadith in the Importance of Prayer and Discussions about its Indications

Summary/Abstract: Prayer is a worship that emphasizes the importance of many verses and hadiths. The passage of a prayer in the Qur'an with prayer is considered a sign of its importance. Even in the hadiths, prayer has been accepted as the visible and livable measure of faith, which is a heart action and its abandonment is interpreted differently but it is expressed with the word “blasphemy”. Because of this importance, the hadiths mentioning of deliberate abandonment of prayer, abduction of prayer time without knowing or the making some mistakes while praying have been meticulously discussed and tried to be understood. One of the different interpreted hadiths is that the person will be questioned firstly about the prayer in the Hereafter. Because this hadith has been interpreted in different meanings such as the abandonment of the prayer, the failure of the prayer to be forgotten and the compensation of the mistakes made in the prayer. In this article, evaluations will be made on the deed-faith and the text of the said narration and will be evaluated together with many issues.
