Summary/Abstract: Despite the ubiquitous use of Internet in the country, on average, Bulgarian enterprises lag significantly behind their European counterparts, in terms of utilising the benefits of the corporate site. This is clearly visible in small and medium organisations. Thus, any shortcomings in that regard are strategical hindrances with a negative effect on the vision, the mission and the intrinsic character of small and medium enterprises. In light of the striving towards an informational society, the registered traits in Bulgaria highlight the need for reconsideration of the online communicational policy regarding earning and maintaining the trust of the engaging audience.
