Summary/Abstract: The relationship between science of management and business practice is not always positive. Most publications demonstrate helpfulness of the theory in solving problems of practice. The paper presents examples of the negative impact of science on the business practice in few areas: a mechanistic approach to the employee, excessive focus on the method of analysis, inclination to explanation phenomena only in the category of rationality and causal relationships and the closeness of the scientific community in the context of the dominant paradigms.
