Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the paper is to analyze the role of financial intermediaries and financial consultants in consumer’s protection against the misselling of financial services. Therefore, the paper addresses issues such as, if, and if so, in which way the actions of these professions could influence the consumer’s protection against misselling. The misselling of financial services is a new practice infringing collective consumer interest established in Act of 16 February 2007 on Competition and Consumer Protection. The reason for this practice might be connected with behaviour of undertakings which offer financial services, especially financial advisors or financial intermediaries (also unethical). In the paper the synthesis of existing regulations regarding misselling of financial services in Poland is provided.
