Summary/Abstract: International arbitration is continuously expanding and is increasingly preferred method for resolving disputes between business partners worldwide. The Arbitration Institution is regulated differently from one country to another, but there are a number of conventions and model laws regulating this matter, so there are the premises of a uniform regulation. This article seeks to analyze the trend toward harmonization of the national laws on arbitration and the desire of a single and unified legal system. The regulation on Arbitration from the new Romanian Code of Civil Procedure falls into this trend.
