Summary/Abstract: This study focuses on the sentence of the steward in John 2,10 about the good wine kept until now. It analyzes the pronouncement in light of its context, its rhetorical composition, and the author’s lexical choices. The analysis proposes a new, context-oriented translation for Slovak audience.
