Assessment of Use EU Funds in the Municipalities of Podkarpackie

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study was to assess the use of EU funds in selected municipalities of Podkarpackie. It was associated with the monitoring needs of the population and was conducted among randomly selected residents of the ten municipalities of Podkarpackie. The main problem was the need to determine the impact of investments co-financed from EU funds for the development of communities and improving the quality of life of residents. The analysis shows that residents positively evaluate the operation of the municipal authorities for obtaining and using EU funds. They know the objectives of the municipality, which received funding. The greatest benefit associated with the improvement and development of the communication network. Although the predominant response that it contributes to improving the living conditions at a medium level. Demands from residents are very different. Most often they involve the introduction of local amenities, which would have affected the quality of life. Young people indicate that despite the efforts of the municipal authorities, there is no development opportunities.
