Are we ready for it? A few words about problems with feminization of language

Summary/Abstract: Much has already been said and written about women’s situation and femininity in the sphere of the Polish language, from the perspective of anthropology, knowledge of culture and linguistics. Yet it still seems that the issue lacks voices and arguments. The problem stays open and keeps coming back in an inflamed version from time to time. I have no illusions that this text will lead to a language revolution, feminist upheaval or ap- peasement of the fighters. In any case, this is not its aim. It is just another voice which – perhaps – will make it possible to consider the case from a quieter, less revolutionary and more rational perspective.
