Summary/Abstract: The Paschal triduum (sacrum triduum paschale) represents the "culmen totius anni liturgici". The nocturnal liturgy of the Sunday of Resurrection (the Easter Vigil) is the most important liturgical celebration of this whole. This study attempts to point out its conceptual specifics. These are: the night of the vigil for the Lord (1), the night of the history of salvation (2) and the night of three eulogistic prayers (3). In the final part (4), the incentives to the inner structure of this liturgy and to the contemporary practice on how to celebrate it are offered.
