Summary/Abstract: Today social media play very important role as a communication form and information resource. Interesting question seems to be how the local government may use social media as way of communication with residents. The article includes the activities taken by local government and community from Szczecinek through social media. Nevertheless research shows, that local government has no funpages on most popular social media services and does not use them as a form of communication in proper way.
