On The Ontological And Epistemological Status Of Mathematical Entities: Plato, Iamblichus, Proclus Diadochus

Summary/Abstract: By carriing out an insight into the ontological and gnoseological picture of Plato’s doctrine, as well as of the neoplatonics Iamblichus and Proclus., we explain in more detail viewpoints of the latest on the „mathematical beings“, „geometrical beings“ and „mathematical methods“. We find also that once reached principles of „one and many“, of „limit and unlimited“, ... are happy discovered „strongpoints again confirmed by the two and half millenium's development of (especially natural) sciences.
