Summary/Abstract: This work looks at the narrative technique in Čedo Vuković's pentalogy Sons of the Sons and ways of organising narrative elements such as: composition, characters, space required for each activity of the character and generally the ambient of presented outness and, finally, a time line that together with space structure builds a chronotope. Analysing all elements we will notice that changes in narrative situation and withdrawal of auctorial narrator along with the usage of introspective techniques make these novels modern in terms of the narrative situation and psychological and stream of consciousness ones in terms of genre. This is confirmed by the organisation of time wherby the objective time in character's consciuosness is broadened and retrospectives are present not only in monologues but in dialogues as well.
