Summary/Abstract: Organized crime, as a national and transnational criminal phenomenon, represents a flagrant breach of human rights, an infringement to human integrity and dignity, but also a threat to the security of individuals, of social and moral values. The specialisation of organized crime groups in areas where the turnover is maximized affecting thus directly the national economic and social system is making organized crime a major risk to the national security of every state.
