Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is the presentation of mathematical basis of the negotiation support system with the application of the TOPSIS procedure. The TOPSIS procedure makes possible the evaluation of offers, allows to put them into order from the best to the worst one, to determine the alternative offers, to evaluate and compare the size of potential concessions and it also helps in the improvement of the compromise by searching for the Pareto optimal solutions. The great values of this procedure are: the calculation simplicity, easiness and clearness of the interpretation of the obtained results, possibility of its generalization on the linguistic variables, interval or the fuzzy numbers.
