Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is the presentation of PROFIT analysis which is a combination of multidimensional scaling and multiple regression analysis. For stimulus space obtained by multidimensional scaling analysis multiple regression is performed using the coordinates as independent variables and the attribute as the dependent variable. Regression coefficients are the coordinates of the attribute vector on the stimulus space. Finally, an empirical example of car makes preferences research by using PROFIT analysis was presented.
