Protection of confidential information. Selected questions

Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the role of information in the system of state security, and questions related to the protection of secrets. State security services play a key role in the system of protecting confidential information, being one of the links in the system of state security. The stipulations of the Act on the Protection of Confidential Information to protect information that is state and official secret. From the moment of its introduction, the Act was the subject of numerous amendments aimed at the construction of the most modern and efficient system of information protection. Of great importance in the field is cooperation on the power of bilateral agreements between member states of NATO and European Union, whose objective is the mutual protection of confidential information. The national legislation concerning the protection of confidential information meets European standards, yet requires ordering.
