Doctor–Patient Communication – According to Patients

Summary/Abstract: This article is concerned with the important issue of communication between doctors and patients. A patient’s agreement to proposed therapy, his or her cooperation, and engagement in the therapeutic process to a large extent depend on the communicative skills of a doctor or therapist. This article stems from the survey carried out among the patients of the Clinical Hospital of the University Medical Centre in Gdansk, and, thereby, it attempts to evaluate the aforementioned skills.
