IT Consulting as Stimulation Tool for Developing Information Technology and Improving the Efficiency of their Application

Summary/Abstract: The article presents selected methods and tools for IT consulting as a way to transfer knowledge between manufacturers, distributors of computer hardware, software and the users of these technologies. There were analyzed trends in the activities of producers and distributors of IT and consulting companies to support the various professional groups of customers. Based on selected solutions was taken an assessment of capabilities to support R&D processes of IT technology directly from the position of manufacturers as well as improve the efficiency of their use by different categories of users. There have been proposed solutions, whose principle is based on the patency of knowledge flows from producers to users and build channels of feedback from users to manufacturers. An additional information linkage should be systems, which share knowledge and experiences in the field of IT applications, implemented by specialized advisory platforms. They should additionally integrate systems of users’ knowledge and producers of information technology.
