Conditions for effectiveness of basic training in the context of the process of the Police staff potential

Summary/Abstract: The article shows the place and importance of police basic professional training in the process of developing human resources capacity of the Police. Considerations contained therein are intended to establish the conditions which determine the effectiveness of this training, and – in this context – the evaluation of the possibility of including higher education institutions in the process of preparing students for the profession of a policeman. According to the author, the evaluation of the arguments for and against the Police cooperation with universities weighs clearly in favour of its adoption.
