Summary/Abstract: The main goal of the paper is to present some theories of religious thinking from the perspective of Cognitive Science of Religion (CSR) – standard and extended model, evolutionary approach to religious cognition. The main focus of CSR is on unconscious processes such as thoughts, biases, emotions, and motivations. Cognitive scientists of religion are interested in exploring the causal mechanisms that might account for the recurrent patterns of religious beliefs and practices. This need not be in conflict with the religious or theistic explanation of religion, in contrary, it can help a better understanding of how religious concept are spread, remembered, developed and entrenched in human mind. The results of CSR can help us to understand the link between natural religious thinking, religious doctrine and practice.
