Warehouse as a Key Element in the Logistics System

Summary/Abstract: The article focuses on showing the face of a warehouse in a logistics system.The division and types of warehouses, the structure of the warehouse and approximate one of the main storage elements, which is the picking, considering the key importance in the whole process. Based on the analysis of logistic warehouses and their functionality, it can be concluded that warehouses are a key role in meeting the needs related to the flow of goods in the entire logistics system. Warehouses have radically changed their face, using the latest technologies and devices in their functioning, there by optimizing the entire process. Thanks to highly innovative logistics warehouses, there isan increasing flow of goods between the producer and the retail chain, that’s why the polish retail market is growing spectacularly.
