Social Support Networks in Slovenia: Introduction

Summary/Abstract: Article brings introductory thoughts on the articles, published in Druzboslovne razprave No. 43 and thematically focused on the social support networks. It briefly outlines developmental stages of research interest in social support: from earlier emphasis on emotional aspects through social integration issues towards more recent communication insights. After short description of this research in Slovenia, it summarizes main findings from the commented articles and points out their applicative dimensions.
