Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study is to analyse the best practices in improving the company's remuneration systems. They are the results of the author's experiences in improving the national company's remuneration systems. The basis of the article, showing the methodical aspects of designing key elements of the remuneration system, is the thesis as follows: the improvement of the company's payroll policy is based on a diagnostic and calibrating approach, including the rationalization of tariff and bonus subsystems. The study describes the premises, strategies and areas for improvement of the remuneration system. The method of evaluating competency profiles of organizational positions as a tool for designing a tariff system has been presented. The methodology of modeling of the company's grids and basic salary tables has been characterized. The model of integrated interdependent bonus system was presented. The final part discusses the barriers to change in the company's remuneration policy.
