Non-Agricultural Entrepreneurship in the Processes of Farm Diversification in Poland

Summary/Abstract: The paper presents the scale and nature of the phenomenon of diversification of agricultural holdings in Poland. Diversification of an agricultural holding mean running additional, non-agricultural activities directly related to the agricultural holding, using its resources or agricultural products. Based on CSO data from 2013 and 2016, it was stated,inter alia, that in the analyzed period the number and percentage of diversified farms increased. The frequency of occurrence of this phenomen on and the type of activity carried outdepend on the specificity of the farm, i.e. both its physical size and economic strength.
