Summary/Abstract: Unemployment decrease noticeable on the Polish labour market results in employers’ activity dedicated to recruiting and retaining employees. Simultaneously, employees’ age diversity is also growing. Next to already present Generations of BabyBoomers, X and Y, Generation Z is the youngest generation only just joining the labourmarket. The theoretical part of this paper presents a short description of Generation Z andits age ranges existing in the literature. Additionally, it defines selected terms from thearea of motivation. The aim of the paper was an attempt to identify motivational factors important for Generation Z representatives as well as their financial expectations. The results presented in the paper are based on secondary sources of information as well as primary empirical research. 1162 Generation Z representatives have been examined with the help of a survey method using the questionnaire technique. The results depict the following most important motivational factors for young people: work climate, compensation as well as certainty of employment.It should be highlighted that only a part of the research in the area of Generation Z has been presented in this paper.
