Summary/Abstract: The issue of the economic potential of entities is one of the most important issues. The main purpose of this study is an attempt to assess the impact of the economic condition of a farm and a processing enterprise on the processes of developing various forms of integration links in agribusiness. In the following, a brief description of the economic situation was made in the context of the development of the entity and the presentation of the concept, development opportunities and advantages of clustering. The analysis of the determinants of the establishment and expansion of the cluster initiative in the context of the economic condition was also analyzed. The considerations were supported by the results of own research carried out in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, which shows that the economic condition of both the agricultural holding and the process ingenterprise is a key factor affecting the creation and development of cluster initiatives. Cluster structures fulfill a particularly important role in the context of increasing competitiveness and increasing the innovativeness of the entire economy; they may also be a stimulant of many beneficial changes, especially towards the development of advanced integration processes in the food economy.
