Summary/Abstract: The increase in innovation is now one of the most important goals of enterprises. In connection with this, various determinants of enterprise innovation are indicated, among which leadership is also indicated. The article presents the characteristics of the innovative style of leadership and the assessment of the level of innovation in family enterprises and the relationships between the variables studied. Empirical research was carried out on a group of 200 randomly selected family businesses in Poland. Based on the analysis, it can be assumed that in order to increase the level of innovation, one should allow risk and errors and allow employees to implement them in practice. On the other hand, creative thinking has an impact on innovation in the case of linking activities in this area with the investment expenditures undertaken.
